Can I be assured of a Quality Slimline product?
Some customers may have experienced quality problems with older produced Slimlines, in particular slight leaks at the pole nuts. This issue was due to a design change, which affected the sealing capability of some washers restricted to a known production run. Although the percentage of leaks was low, Team Poly immediately addressed the issue by implementing a design change to prevent the possibility of recurrence. In addition all Slimline product is now 100% leak inspected to ensure customers receive a quality product with exceptional performance characteristics. All Team Poly Product & Service performance is monitored with timely corrective & preventive action taken in the pursuit of excellence.
Can I be assured that my Team Poly product performance is monitored even after sale?
Yes! We have an extensive Warranty Data Base, monitoring every product sold for the life of the product. We constantly analyse this data to determine the effectiveness of design improvements & process changes.
For example: Warranty Data Analysis recently identified a production change to our Slimline tanks, resulting in some customers receiving product with minor leaking at a support pole bolt. We were able to narrow this issue to a particular serial number range, recall & rectify product before the issue escalated. We not only took Corrective Action but also Preventive Action, that is, we swiftly implemented process & system improvements to ensure such an issue cannot recur. Corrective & Preventive Actions are just two system tools within our certified AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.

Then what testing would my Tank have passed?
Testing begins even before our Tanks are produced. New Designs are first exposed to Physical Finite Element Analysis to ensure the design is robust and fit for purpose.
A Typical Tank Test Plan is as follows:
- Raw material resin certification from supplier to AS4020 & AS 2070 (Potable Water &Food Grade)
- Compound Powder Certification to AS4020 & AS 2070. Colour pigments for algae growth prevention UV additives to enhance material longevity.
- In-house Laboratory Testing for Melt Flow Index, Particle Size, Sieve Testing.
- Product Thickness Testing using non-destructive Ultra Sonic Thickness Testing.
- Sample Impact Testing to assure material compliance during processing.
- Slice Test analysis to ensure non-porous wall integrity.
- Capacity Testing to ensure the stated specified capacity of your tank is assured.
- Final Inspection, which includes a final visual check that your Tank meets acceptance criteria for first grade quality.
- Pre-Delivery Inspection, our drivers are trained to handle inspect product, ensuring you receive only Tanks that meet our internal standards. If it's not acceptable to them it's not loaded.
- Traceability: Your Tank has a unique identification Serial Number, you can find this on every nameplate on the side of each Tank. This number enables us to trace the product back to base resins received through our record system. Inspection Test records are also accessible which identify the type of test and responsible Team Poly representative, who approved your Tank.
- All of the above processes are in Compliance within AS 4766 requirements.
What about part-lines, are they a weakness?
On the contrary a part-line, (visible joint line either vertical or horizontal) merely defines the mould configuration, in-fact the product is considerably thicker at this juncture & therefore stronger, this is the nature of Rota-Moulded Product.

Certified materials are used in a Team Poly Tank!
Why then, should I buy a Team Poly Slimline tank over any other on the market?
Many other tanks on the market claim to be ‘Slim' however due to design constraints regarding wall pressures, most other manufacturer's sacrifice narrow design in order to build-in wall strength, in fact many ‘quilted' designs are so wide that they would not allow passage between narrow paths & fences. Team Poly's unique Slimline Tank offers optimum widths by utilizing superior support, internally & externally. Internal rods maintain wall strength preventing ‘barrelling' of sidewalls. Vertical external poles offer additional lateral strength maintaining shape in filled or empty condition.
So a Team Poly Slimline Tank not only looks stronger and narrower it optimises water capacity by not quilting or compromising its ‘Slim' design.
Would my tank be produced under controlled conditions to ensure consistency?
Yes! In addition all Team Poly sites are fully certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality management Systems. Not all Manufacturers or Importers of Tanks can boast this achievement.
